The Power of The Blood
April 7, 2008
When examining the Scriptures, we see that the Blood is held to the most extreme importance in the Old and New Testaments. The Blood cannot be taken out of its place within the Christian's faith. Without the Blood there is no Power. That is why we see so many powerless churches and powerless "so called" Christians. For without the Blood we have no access to God. The Word teaches us that the Old Testament High Priest could not go into the Most Holy Place without Blood: "...into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without Blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins...(Hebrews 9:7). This Blood the Priest entered with was that of bulls, rams, and goats. However, today we enter into the presence of God with something much more precious. The Blood we enter in with is as 1 Peter 1:19 proclaims, "...but with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." We have been, "...justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His Blood,...

Who We Are
July 9, 2007
Over the last several weeks, many people have stopped me and asked what kind of church is Christ Fellowship. "Is it Baptist, Pentecostal, non-denominational, off-shoot of Methodism, etc?" I try to avoid titles. With titles, often times, comes stereotyping or a certain sigma that is placed upon that group of believers. John the Baptist was confronted about the title he should have. In John 1: 19-27, we read: "Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ." 21 And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No." 22 Then they said to him, "Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?" 23 He said: "I am 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Make straight the way of the LORD," ' as the prophet Isaiah said." 24 Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, saying, "Why then do you...

Getting and Staying Focused
June 18, 2007
It is important for us as believers to focus on God through His Son Jesus Christ. WE must always remained focused on Jesus Christ. Just as the Word of God teaches in Hebrews 12:1-2, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
At times, our vision of Him can become blurred due to the tactics of the enemy or just plain sin. We should be following as close to the teaching of Jesus as God gives us the grace and wisdom that our line of sight toward Him is never clouded, but is always clear.

Do You Know Where You Are?
May 20, 2007
"Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" Genesis 3:9
After our first parent's sinned, God came looking for them. He was quick to call out and ask where they were. One must understand that this does not show ignorance on God's part. God knew exactly where Adam and Eve were hiding. The question, however, remains the same from God for every human being: "Where are you?" Do you know where you are today? Are you resting in the grace of God or are you struggling to prove your worth to Him? Are you lost or are you saved? Where are you?
