What Psalm 91 Is All About
In 2008, Corky Dize, a deacon at CFBC felt the prompting of the Lord to start a ministry that would be an encouragement to our troops home and abroad. Corky, being a Vietnam veteran, had a perfect understanding of what the soldiers face each day and need just not physically, but spiritually. With this background, Corky began by collecting small items from members of the congregation (some pictured below), as well as purchasing the book, Psalm 91. This book is geared directly for those serving in the military and is taken directly from the Book of Psalms 91. The Bible states in Psalm 91:4, "He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His Truth shall be your shield and buckler." It is through this ministry that we have been supplying the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs of our troops. The ministry is solely supported by donations from the church family.
